Fenn's, Whixall & Bettisfield Mosses National Nature Reserve is the third largest lowland raised bog in Britain. Straddling the English border, near Whitchurch in Shropshire and Wrexham in Wales. Its 1000 hectare landscape is made up of lowland raised bog, west woodland, wet peaty fields, heathland and Teesdaia grassland. In addition, it hs some fascinating buildings connected to the peat industry and its role in World War 2.
