Ingleborough is one of the famous Three Peaks of the Yorkshire Dales National Park together with Pen-y-ghent and Whernside. Covering 1014 hectares Ingleborough is a remote and often deserted mountainous area with dramatic landscape, flower-rich meadows and pastures, heather-clad moors, ancient woodland and some of Britains finest limestone pavements. It is part of the larger Ingleborough Site of Special Scientific Interest.
